Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated BIM Engineer with 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in Building Information Modeling (BIM) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, managing, and coordinating digital models of building projects across multiple disciplines, ensuring accuracy, quality, and seamless collaboration within the project team.
This role requires strong technical proficiency with BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360), the ability to collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and project managers, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- BIM Model Creation & Management:
- Develop and maintain 3D BIM models using Revit or other relevant BIM software.
- Ensure models are accurate and meet the client’s project requirements.
- Coordinate and integrate models from different disciplines (architectural, structural, MEP).
- Collaboration & Coordination:
- Collaborate closely with project teams (architects, engineers, contractors) to resolve design and construction issues.
- Conduct clash detection and resolve design conflicts using BIM tools (e.g., Navisworks).
- Assist in BIM execution planning and establish modeling standards for the project.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Produce 2D drawings, schedules, and other necessary documentation from the BIM model.
- Ensure all project documents are properly maintained and accessible to the team.
- Assist with creating and updating project reports, including project timelines and material take-offs.
- Quality Control & Accuracy:
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of BIM models.
- Perform regular audits of BIM models to ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
- Training & Support:
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members or other departments using BIM software.
- Assist in the implementation of BIM standards, protocols, and workflows across the team.
- Software & Tools Management:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest BIM software updates, tools, and best practices.
- Ensure smooth use of software and troubleshoot any technical issues related to BIM tools.
- Project Meetings & Reviews:
- Participate in regular project meetings to discuss BIM-related issues and project progress.
- Present BIM model updates and solutions to the project team and clients.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience in BIM modeling and coordination, preferably in a design or construction environment.
- Software Proficiency:
- Strong working knowledge of Revit (required).
- Familiarity with other BIM tools such as Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM 360, or similar platforms.
- Experience in clash detection, 3D modeling, and creating construction documentation.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of BIM workflows, standards, and protocols.
